R and R’s Ghost Story!!

R and R building exteriorWe’re feeling a little bit like the famous WWII Blue Ghost these days. The USS Lexington (aka the Blue Ghost), an aircraft carrier rumored sunk by Japan four times, stood tall throughout WWII and was just decommissioned in 1991. Never sank. Not even close. But Japan’s persistent rumors had the world questioning the USS Lexington’s buoyancy. The Blue Ghost hung in there until technology dictated its retirement as a museum piece and a WWII hero.

We’ve fielded a handful of calls from concerned customers who “just learned” that we had sold our equipment to a company in Mexico and will be closing our doors any minute now. (Imagine the shock of getting these calls!!) We put our heads together trying to figure out where the bad news was originating. A disgruntled employee perhaps? What about a business that has a similar name as ours? Bingo. A little detective work and we discovered R and R Printers that’s located just a few blocks from our plant is winding down their business and has sold equipment to a Mexican company recently. Mystery solved for R and R Images.

We are stronger than ever and are committed to being the premier marketing solutions provider in Arizona. For those of you who continue to think we are a commercial printer, we can understand how the similarities of our names—R and R Images/R and R Printers—could bring you to believe that our doors were closing. With the volume of Arizona printers closing their doors, the concept of another one biting the dust certainly is feasible. Be assured, we are alive and thriving and we wish the best to R and R Printers.

Just like the Blue Ghost of WWII, we’re here to stay.

This was the first burn, posted on August 19. Click here to read about the second burn–the fire.
